Norfolk to purchase Berkley land for residential growth (The Virginian-Pilot)

NORFOLK The City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved spending $3 million to purchase a 9.5-acre industrial tract in Berkley it intends to use for future residential growth. Located on the Berkley Avenue Extension a few yards from the Chesapeake border, the land is in a mixed residential and industrial area. Many of the industrial buildings are vacant.
